Jesika and my other food friends might disagree. Funny enough, some of the places mentioned in the article as being big and famous in Portland, I’ve never heard of, perhaps lending to what some of the comments say about Portland (and those who live here) being too trendy for its own good. And the abundance of the food carts has gotten a bit out of hand – once they were handy lunchtime staples in a downtown parking lot where businessmen ate in between meetings; now they’re hip and trendy and food is served at prices that are way too high when you realize there is no overhead cost to speak of.
Disregarding all that negativity and criticism, I’m still proud of my city. Especially when it shows up in Time Magazine.
